Julia's a fiction writing instructor at Columbia College Chicago and has been the recipient of a Follett Fellowship, two Schultz-Shiflett Scholarship Awards, a Getz Alternate Award, a Pushcart Prize nomination and a first-place prize in the Columbia University (New York) Scholastic Press Association Awards.
